The new Wegolf version for iOS  is now available for iPhone and iPad  :).

All iOS users…if you already have Wegolf 2 installed on your phone, just visit the App Store and select Updates. You will then see the updated version of Wegolf ready for download and installation.

The new version contains an aerial view of the holes. It plots your current position on the hole, and gives distance to a movable target. You also get the distance from the Target to “Pin”.

In addition you can turn ON or OFF club suggestions and “distance circles” for easier distance measurements. (50-100-150-200-250)

We believe this will be a great addition to the existing pre-mapped points.

For iPhone users, just enter the App Store and do a search for “Wegolf”.

The aerial view feature is only on the latest version of Wegolf for the iPhone. New versions for the  other platforms like Android, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry will get this feature in the future.

WeGolf 6.4 is available for all platforms. (iPhone will follow in a couple of weeks)

The new feature in this release is integration with Facebook   It is now possible to share your scorecard live with your friends on your personal Facebook page.

- To share score live: In the Scorecard from the options menu select “Share Round + Facebook” to publish live.

- To share an already played round: Select “Rounds” from the main menu. From the options menu select “Share Round + Facebook” to publish.

A link to your scorcard will be placed on you Facebook Wall.

You can also configure your Facebook account in the Tools Menu

To upgrade to the latest version of Wegolf, just go Tools, Software update in the Wegolf app. on your cell.

I realize it has been a while since this version was released, but just in case you haven’t updated the version of Wegolf on your phone to the latest version, here are some highlights of version 6.2.1

• If you make use of the electronic scorecard function of Wegolf, it now automatically advances to the next hole when you filled in all the scores for the current hole.
• The colour scheme makes it much easier to see the distances when using the cell phone on the course.
• And some other tweaks

Just go Tools, Software update to update your version to the latest one.

Its now posible to view satellite images from within WeGolf on your cell phone.

The image of every hole is found under Courses -> Select your course -> Coord on map (in the options menu) You can drag the image up, down, right and left, go to next hole as well as zoom in for a closer view. The higher resolution the Google Earth image of the course, the better.

New Features:

1. The first time start up and registration has been changed and improved.

2. License activation has been changed, and is now moved under a new menu item (Shop) in the Tools menu instead of being part of the first time registration process.

3. New and improved touch screen operation for score keeping with a viritual keyboard. This greatly improves operation of new models like Nokia N97, Nokia 5800, Sony Ericsson Satio, BlackBerry 9530 Storm etc.

Users with current subscriptions or trial versions can upgrade by selecting Tools->Software Update in the Wegolf application on your phone.

Searching for golf courses has just become even easier with the Search course name feature. Just type in the course you are about to play and download…
