To all Wegolfers who own a Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung have just made Ice Cream Sandwich Android version 4.0.3 available for the S2 . One way to update to the latest version of Android on your S2 is to have the latest version of Kies installed on your computer and then just connect the S2 to it via USB and it should prompt you whether you want to download and install the latest version.

Yes, Wegolf’s ability to measure your strokes makes it much easier to find your ball.
It works as follows:
If you regularly measure your strokes, you’ll have a very good idea of how far you hit each club in your bag.
So let’s say, for example , that you’re using a Driver from the tee, and you hit the ball into the rough:
When you measure your strokes using Wegolf, the distance from you ball’s original position to your current position is displayed in the grey bar at the bottom of the cell phone’s screen. In the example below, I moved 45m away from the position where I hit my shot from…
As you walk, this display will tell you how far you are (In a straight line) from where you hit the ball. And you can use this information to narrow down your search for a lost ball. So if you know you hit your driver on average 230m, you can use the display to search in a smaller area for your ball.In a area where the display tells you +-230m.
I have found this very useful in finding a lost ball much faster.

Let’s say you are teeing off on the 10th hole…
- On Wegolf’s main menu on your cell, select Rounds, New.
- Then select or download the course you will be playing on.
- Then select Distances and score
- Now select the players in your fourball and then select Options, Next.
- You will now see a screen with heading “Received Strokes” with all the players and their info. Select Options, Next again.
- And now you’ll be at a screen displaying a scorecard of the course with hole 1 highlighted…

- You can just scroll down on this screen to the hole that you will be teeing off on. Let’s say the 10th…

- Once you have highlighted the hole you’ll be starting on, just select Options, Edit to start your round.
- Even if you are playing a round that will have a “shotgun start”, you can select any hole as your starting hole on Wegolf.
